South Sudan is neither a fragile nor a failed state.

Deputy Minister for Internal Affair Salva Mathok Gengdit told Bakhita Radio that the rampant insecurity taking place in South Sudan is not its own doing.

He accused Khartoum of recruiting, training and arming militias against South Sudan.

In mid October the group of fragile states known as G7 Plus held a retreat in Juba to share views and experiences.

G7 Plus includes South Sudan, East Timor and DR. Congo among other states.
