The Director of Employees Justice Chamber in Lakes State is decrying lack of good will on the part of a section of local politicians, saying they are an impediment to the practice of justice.

Joseph Akot Mabor told Good News Radio that the decisions made by the Chamber in addressing employees’ grievances are always met with resistance by both the Legislature and executive in the State.

He recognized the cooperation the Chamber is receiving from Lakes State Judiciary.

Mr. Akot lamented the lack of cooperation from most institutions of Lakes State, expressing surprise about their negative attitude towards the Chamber that is constitutionally established like all other government body.

He maintained that his office will insist on the observance of the law by all citizens without exception, warning that further interferences in the Chamber’s decisions by the executive and legislature will not be tolerated.

Clarifying that the chamber is only a neutral body operating within the parameters of the law, Mr. Akot dismissed claims by some government officials that they have been reinstating dismissed employees against the employer’s will.

The Employees Justice Chamber is an independent body constitutionally established to address government employees’ grievances.
