The Catholic Bishop of Tombura-Yambio Diocese condemned acts of tribalism during a meeting with teachers and parents of St Mary Primary school over an alleged demonstration by pupils at primary eight.
Bishop Eduardo Hiboro blamed the teachers for influencing pupils to riot, Anisa Radio reported.The teachers said their participation in the demonstration was an act of nationalism.
St Mary Primary school executive director Hassen Bakith Awri has closed on down the school to reduce insecurity in the county.
