Men have been urged to respect the rights of women as a sign of promoting gender equality.
Yei River County Gender officer Emma Melling Charles told Easter Radio that women are still being denied access in areas of business and family life due to poverty
Ms. Melling said women constitute the greatest suffering group across the world.
She urged men to work side by side with women to bring about development.
Ms. Melling appealed to the women in the county to unite and form groups to lobby for support from the government.
