The general manager for Yei Electric Cooperative (YECO) is asking consumers to pay their bills.
Michael Malish Ismail called upon the community in Yei town to pay their electricity timely in order to receive an effective power supply, Easter Radio reorted.He asked the community to respect YECO’s staff because they are providing a service and it is not their fault if consumers do no pay their bills and get disconnected.
Mr. Ismail said to keep the running of the powerhouse is a collective responsibility of the community together with YECO staff
He added that lack of fuel, hike in fuel prices and breakdown of two generators are the causes for some power shortages that hit Yei.
Mr. Ismail said YECO will resume normal power supply on Monday following complaints from clients about the pressing need for an adequate power supply in order to run their equipments and businesses.
