The minister for health yesterday pledged to support the Yei National Health Training Institute and to assume full control by 2014.
Minister Michael Milly Hussein thanked the Norwegian People Aid (NPA) and other stakeholders for their support to the health training facility.He promised improvements to ease the challenges students face at the Institute.
Dr. Milly said the government will assist the Institute with some financial support.
He added that by 2014 the government will be in fully control of the facility when NPA leaves it.
Dr. Milly added that the issue of tutors will be addressed immediately.
The minister made these statements during the graduation ceremony of 75 nurses, midwives and lab technicians that took place yesterday in Yei.
