All South Sudan universities should open on October 1, and supplementary exams are scheduled for September 26.
Higher Education Minister Peter Adwok Nyaba told journalists today that the decision was taken after consultations with the vice chancellors of the universities of Juba, Upper Nile and Bahr el Ghazal.He said the universities are going to open on October 1 but supplementary and substitution exams take place this month.
Dr. Adwok added that the ministry is working on the admission forms for the 2011 academic year which will be announced as soon as the ministry receives them.
Registration for supplementary and substitution exams starts tomorrow and end next Monday.
Students in Khartoum will take their exams in Kadoru while those in South Sudan at Atlabara Campus in Juba.
