JUBA CITIZENS EXPRESS MIXED VIEWS ON NEW CABINET

Citizens in Juba expressed different views on the first cabinet of the Republic of South Sudan.

Bakhita Radio organized yesterday a discussion forum on the new government.

Emmanuel Oriem Lino said the new cabinet includes new faces although old faces are in majority.

He explained that civil servants should know their roles in order to assist the ministers and policymakers in the ministries.

Dr. Oriem said the new cabinet should focus on realistic polices and goals.

Ben Khamis said President Kiir appointed mostly people who have been working with him.

He advised the citizens to give the new cabinet a period of grace.

Mr. Khamis added that in the future the public should point out the weaknesses of ministers who do not deliver.

Halima Juma questioned why there were many more males than females in the cabinet.

The three participants were speaking at Bakhita radio talk show √É”Our Republic” discussing views in the new cabinet of the Republic of South Sudan.
