The youth minister said the new slogan for the youths during his term of office will be “Youth of freedom for peace and development.”
Cirino Hiteng Ofuho was sworn in yesterday as minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. He called upon the youths in South Sudan to move towards the slogan.He added that every one below the age of 45 like himself will be considered young.
Dr. Hiteng noted that he will focus on a Youth National Service Programme for those who finished school or dropped out and the jobless.
He advised the youth to take on creative jobs like crafts, carpentry and other skills in order to be busy.
The minster’s slogan comes at a time when a study shows that the youths are spearheading tribal conflicts in South Sudan.
