The south Sudan legislative assembly today passed the long waited Emoluments and Privileges of Constitutional Post Holders’ bill were GoSS president remains the highest paid civil servant in the region earning twenty six thousand pounds per month including allowances.

Jimmy Wongo, the acting speaker, announced the passing of the bill.

The bill puts the GoSS vice president and the Speaker of the regional assembly as the second best paid earning twenty four thousand five hundred pounds each.

Goss Ministers earn each fifteen thousand five hundred pounds while members of parliament get twelve thousand six hundred pounds per month.
