EASTERN EQUATORIA REGISTERS 80 PER CENT CURRENCY EXCHANGE

Currency exchange teams in Eastern Equatoria state reported that 80 per cent coverage since the beginning of the exercise last month.

Currency exchange committee chairperson Charles Odwar told reporters in an interview in Torit that most areas are already covered, Emmanuel Radio reported.

He said the currency exchange exercise in the state went with some challenges including accessibility to two villages in Torit County.

Mr. Odwar added they asked the SPLA to provide logistics and the exchange team was airlifted to Kapoeta East.

He pointed that one location in Lafon County has not also been accessed and some locations in Magwi County are yet to receive the mobile team.

Mr. Odwar added that cattle raiding and insecurity interrupted the currency exchange exercise in some parts of Budi County.
