Some youth were happy and expressed enthusiasm about the opening of the first ever engagement centre in Juba.

Judith Openia told SCR News that she was excited about the new development and that the centre will help her access internet and chat with her friends on Facebook.

She added that the centre is a good development to Juba.

Juma Peter, a staff with BBC Trust, said the centre can only be of great benefit if youth are active and engage in different projects using the facility.

Juba Civic Engagement Centre will provide internet, library and computer training services.

The membership will be open to all civil society organizations in Juba as well as individual who will have access to library and internet.

The centre cost approximately 350,000 US dollars.
