South Sudan political parties agreed to form a political party council that will represent their rights and interests before the government.
This was one of the developments coming from a meeting between the SPLM Chairman and GoSS president and leaders of all political parties operating in South Sudan today.SSDF leader Martin Elia Lomoru told the press that the participants in the meeting agreed to form a political party council to build a democratic South Sudan where all issues raised with the government will be discussed.
SPLM secretary general Pagan Amum added that the council of parties will be government funded and it will be a forum to discuss issues and to build a stable and democratic government.
The political leaders further agreed to carry out civic education especially among the civil service and organize forces to ensure democratic state institutions.
