WORKERS UNION CALLS FOR INVOLVEMENT IN GOVERNMENT ACTIVITIES

Workers’ Union officials are urging authorities to involve them in government activities.

Chairman of Eastern Equatoria Workers’ Union, Livingston Otim, told the press after a meeting with the state governor Louis Lobong Lojore, that they discussed various issues including their official recognition, Emmanuel Radio reported.

He said the Workers’ Union had been neglected in government programmes.

Mr. Otim added that the Union is one of the stakeholders in the government and in the nation building process.

He revealed that his delegation delivered a letter from the national chairman of the Union to Mr. Lobong.
