The Catholic Archbishop of Juba preached good leadership to the members of both houses of the National Legislature who were attending their first joint sitting today.

Paolino Lukudu Loro told the MPs to serve the interests of the people they represent instead of the political parties they come from.

Archbishop Lukudu reminded the MPs to serve like Jesus Christ adding that they should be the product of the people.

He urged MPs to ask people what they think about them.

The archbishop made these statements while offering prayers at the beginning of the first joint sitting of the national legislature.

He asked God to bless the lawmakers of South Sudan with guidance and honesty.
