Sudan is taking the chairmanship of a key international movement for Catholic students for the next four years.

Charles Ochiro was elected to lead the International Movement for Catholic Students (IMCS) based in Paris, France.

Dr. Ochiro told Bakhita Radio that the IMCS-Sudan supported his candidacy.

Then IMCS-Africa selected him to compete with another five members from other continents.

He added that he did not expect to win the election that took place in Colon, Germany, on July 26.

Dr. Ochiro said he feels happy to hold the IMCS presidency to offer a service to Catholic students across the globe.

He stressed the need to strengthen IMCS-Sudan to boost his morale in Paris.

Dr. Ochiro advised the students to transform themselves into living examples of change in the society and translate faith into action.

Dr. Ochiro will serve as IMCS President for four years in Paris, France.

He will leave for France in a few days to assume his leadership duties.
