Pupils at a primary school in Juba called on the national and state governments to prioritize education in the Republic of South Sudan.

Usratuna Primary School celebrated on Friday the Independence of South Sudan organizing a procession, Bakhita Radio reported.

A pupil read out a message during the celebration. He said corruption and tribalism are among other vices that should be wiped out of the new nation.

He added that the government should envision a brighter future for the young generation of South Sudan based on better education.

The pupil rejected the return to war because it devastates life, property and leads to doom.

Usratuna Primary School pupils were rallying with banners that presented various messages including √É”Education is the key to a brighter future” and √É”Education is a source of development”.
