An official at the Central bank of South Sudan (CBSS) announced today that people have 45 days to change Sudanese pounds into South Sudanese pounds.
CBSS deputy governor Kornelio Koriom told the media today that the Bank has send out staff to the various parts of South Sudan to exchange the old currency with new South Sudan pound.He said the teams have all the required means to change the money in 45 days.
Mr. Koriom sad South Sudan is not longer accepting Sudanese pounds or the new currency of Sudan.
He asked citizens to report to the authorities if they come across the new currency of Sudan in South Sudan.
He explained that the new Sudanese money is not valid in South Sudan.
The deputy governor alerted the citizens to be careful not to be deceived by the new currency of the Sudan.
