Civil society groups taking part in the ongoing convention in Juba recommended that they should monitor closely the legislatures and governments at the national and states levels during the budget making process.
The groups also recommended the media to work hard in order to inform the society accurately and work closely with the civil society groups in order to disseminate much needed information.The secretary of group five said during work presentation that the civil society has not done enough to monitor the allocation of the budgets.
She said the civil society groups should evaluate investment in South Sudan and its conditions.
The presenter also called on the media and civil society groups to work hand in hand to inform the public about the issues that affect the society.
The meeting that was intended to close today is unlikely to conclude due to bulky work remaining and questions from the participants.
