More than half of patients looking for treatment in Tonj, Warrap State, are suffering from malaria.
Dennis Deng, a medical doctor that works for In Deed and Truth Ministries, told Don Bosco FM that in July over half percent of patients that attended their clinic were malaria related cases.He added that this was an unusual outbreak of malaria affecting all age groups.
Dr. Deng said the increase of patients has overstretched their resources.
He appealed to parents to bring their children to a health post as soon as they fall ill instead of trying traditional healers and herbalists.
Dr. Deng asked all the citizens to be responsible for the health of the community and be prompt to eradicate dangerous diseases.
