The Catholic Archbishop of Juba has called upon the civil society organizations and the leaders of the Republic of South Sudan to put human beings first and only then other resources.

Paolino Lukudu Loro told the first Civil Society Convention in Juba that people should come above land, money and cattle, Bakhita Radio reported.

Archbishop Lukudu called upon the civil society organizations to remain active in their commitment to the public interest instead of specific personal agendas.

The prelate urged the members of civil society to protect and defend the rights of the people of South Sudan.

Archbishop Lukudu said civil society activists should not devalue themselves by ignoring the good of the people of South Sudan.

The Convention of Civil Society organizations that kicked off yesterday at the Nyakuron Cultural Centre in Juba concludes on Friday.
