The Governor of Eastern Equatoria urged the youth to work hard for the economic liberation of the Republic of South Sudan.
Louis Lobong Lojore accepted that the people of South Sudan deserve to rejoice and enjoy the hard earned freedom but they still need to achieve economic freedom, Emmanuel Radio reported.He said total freedom only comes when citizens are able to feed themselves instead of relying on food from outside.
Mr. Lobong encouraged the youth to strengthen political independence of the new nation into economic freedom through their hard work.
The governor stated that South Sudan is politically free but still needs to achieve economic freedom for citizens to feed themselves.
He said the one who does not feed himself is not economically free.
The comments of the governor answered pleas of the Youth Chairman, Ohide Samson, who urged his pears to work for change and embrace development for the new nation’s prosperity.
Mr. Ohide lamented that the youth in Eastern Equatoria state is overwhelmed with miseries.
Growing levels of poverty, unemployment, corruption, lack of skills training institutions and insecurity were among several issues raised by the youth Chairman to the state authorities.
