The acting manager for the Central Bank of South Sudan in Yei branch said yesterday the new money was brought on Saturday to the county, but it has not been opened and verified by the concerned authorities.
Maror Cyer Rehan said the bank is expecting a team to arrive today from Juba and open the money so that it can be distributed to the commercial banks operating in the county, Easter Radio repoerted.He added that there is no committee, no logistics and budget for awareness campaigns about the South Sudanese Pound.
