Traffic police officials blamed motorcycle riders for the many accidents in Tonj County and warned the public to be careful while riding on motorbikes.
The head of Traffic Police in Tonj South County Daniel Michael said that motorcycles are the main cause of accidents in the town because they are ridden by underage boys who don’t know how to control speed.He stated that people who come from villages are not familiar with the traffic rules, increasing the rate of accidents.
Mr. Michael asked the people in the county to fix brakes on their bikes and bicycles and learn and respect traffic laws.
He added that Traffic Police are working tirelessly in the county to reduce accidents.
