SPLM is dominating nominations for positions at national, South Sudan and State legislative assemblies in Eastern Equatoria.
The SPLM has presented 48 nominees for the state assembly, 19 for South Sudan Legislative Assembly and 10 for the National Assembly including one for Eastern Equatoria governorship, according to the nominations list published by the National Elections Commission.SPLM deputy chairman for Eastern Equatoria state, Mr. Okanyi Felix Remidjio, told Radio Emmanuel that 24 members of his party have also been nominated as independent candidates for the state, Southern Sudan and national assemblies, with incumbent governor running for the top state executive seat.
The NCP follows closely the SPLM with 28 nominees for the state assembly, 13 for Southern Sudan parliament and 10 for the national assembly in Khartoum and one nominee for the governor.
SANU presents 12 nominees for the state assembly, five for South Sudan and four for the national assembly while UDSF follows in the fourth position with six nominees for the state assembly and four for the Southern Sudan parliament.
USAP fields the least number of candidates with only eight nominees for legislative positions.
