SPLM secretary in Fashoda County of Upper Nile State said the independence of the Republic of South Sudan represents peace and freedom for its people.
Michael Reth said the SPLM fought against Sudanese regimes to stop being second citizens, Voice of Love FM reported.He added that the independence of South Sudan should bring total peace, development and freedom.
Mr. Reth said there are people who are still uncertain that the independence is their freedom.
He asked South Sudanese to forget tribalism and unite under the national flag.
He said that the flag of South Sudan is raised forever and that it will be protected.
Mr. Reth appealed to youths in South Sudan to work for the development of the new nation and leave aside drinking.
He assured that the SPLM shall work hard to erase tribalism in South Sudan.
