Unity State Governor Dr. Joseph Manytuil Wejang visit to Leer County

Unity State Governor Dr. Joseph Manytuil Wejang has called on the Dok community of Leer County to prioritize peace, unity, and peaceful coexistence with neighbouring communities as a foundation for development and stability in the region.

Speaking during his tour to Southern Unity concluded in Leer County, Governor Manytuil urged leaders of the Dok community to work together and put aside their differences to create an environment that enables the government to effectively deliver essential services to the people.

The governor emphasized the importance of maintaining harmonious relations with neighbouring communities, noting that peace remains critical to social and economic development. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting local authorities in the provision of basic services and the implementation of development programs aimed at improving the livelihoods of residents.

Governor Manytuil highlighted the long-standing historical and social ties among communities of Leer and Mayiandit counties and called on local populations to exercise restraint in addressing border-related disputes and other sources of tension.

He urged communities to resolve differences through dialogue and cooperation while working collectively to build lasting peace and stability.

Dr. Manytuil is currently touring southern Unity State started in Koch, Mayiandit and will concluded in Leer to assess the status of social services and identify areas requiring government intervention to enhance service delivery and development.
