Media houses operating in Juba gave today the first step towards the formation of a committee to facilitate the access to information and funding during the elections campaign.
Representatives from different media outlets met today at the Juba Post premises to discuss the terms of cooperation during the elections.The meeting, a UNDP initiative, was facilitated by the union of journalists.
The committee will function as a focal point for journalists to access information from the National Elections Commission.
It was suggested that the Committee will have nine people from the different media outlets in Juba headed by Bakhita FM.
The conversations continue tomorrow with the stakeholders.
