The SPLM secretary general has dismissed rumors that the party will withdraw its presidential candidate before the polls.
Pagan Amum told the press this morning that rumors that the SPLM will withdraw its presidential candidate are untrue.Mr. Amum confirmed that the SPLM will contest the presidential election with the aim of implementing its manifesto made public today.
The NCP leadership called on the SPLM last month to consider withdrawing its official nominee after backing the candidacy of Salva Kiir for GoSS presidency.
Mr. Amum saidt his party has no political arrangements or any intention to compromise with the NCP on the selection of their candidates for all positions including the presidential chair.
