A requiem Mass has been held in honor of the late Bishop Nathaniel Garang Anyieth of the Episcopal Church of South Sudan (ECSS) at All Saints Cathedral in Juba.

The service took place on Monday, March 30, 2026, bringing together clergy, government officials, and members of the Christian community to pay their last respects.

Bishop Nathaniel Garang Anyieth, who passed away earlier this month, was remembered for his dedication to pastoral service, peacebuilding, and spiritual leadership.

During the Mass, church leaders described the late bishop as a humble servant of God who worked tirelessly to promote unity and reconciliation within communities. They called on the faithful to uphold his legacy by continuing to serve others and strengthen the Church.

Mourners filled All Saints Cathedral, offering prayers and tributes in celebration of his life and ministry. The requiem Mass concluded with messages of hope, faith, and encouragement to the bereaved family and the wider ECSS community.
