The activities of the Ugandan rebels in Western Equatoria state have slowed down althouhg people still live in fear, a visiting Bishop said.
Bishop Johnson Akio Mutek of Torit who was in Yambio these days told SCR News that there is no more physical presence of the LRA in Western Equatoria.Bishop Akio admitted however that there are few cases noted in Ezo county where the LRA abducted children and looted food.
Bishop Akio said fear still remains high among locals due to regular LRA crossings through the area.
Bishop Akio was speaking after his arrival from Yambio where he opened and closed Western Equatoria Youth Congress.
Some 600 participants debated many issues like elections, unity, and social and cultural activities in the state.
