President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Friday received Letters of Credence from seven newly accredited Ambassadors, marking the official establishment of new embassies in Juba and underscoring South Sudan’s growing international engagement.

The newly appointed envoys represent France, Germany, the European Union, the African Union, Ethiopia, Egypt, and the Russian Federation, each signaling their countries’ readiness to strengthen diplomatic, economic, and political cooperation with South Sudan.

During the ceremony, held at the State House in Juba, President Kiir welcomed the ambassadors and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to deepening partnerships in areas of mutual interest, including peacebuilding, investment, and regional stability.

The ambassadors, in turn, pledged to support South Sudan’s efforts toward peace, democratic governance, and sustainable development during their tenure.

The accreditation ceremony marks not only the start of the envoys’ official duties but also reflects South Sudan’s strategic efforts to position itself as an active and cooperative member of the global community.
