CENTRAL EQUATORIA SCORES 73 PERCENT PASS IN SUDAN SCHOOL CERTIFICATE

Central Equatoria state students scored 73.5 percent pass in the Sudan School Certificate examinations 2010-2011.

State education minister Manase Lomole Apollo announced the results this afternoon saying that there is no significant difference with the one of last year.

Among the best ten schools in the state, four schools had a 100 percent pass score.

The schools of St. Comboni, Juba Model, Terekeka and St. Mary Terekeka scored 100 percent success.

Mr. Manase mentioned that 79.2 percent of the returnee students from the north also passed.

He said performance on gender indicates more than 1,000 boys passed out of 2,000 while more than 900 girls pass out of 1,253 making the total percentage of 70.6 percent for boys and for 78.6 percent for girls who passed.

Performance of the candidates are categorised into Commercial, Academics and Technical schools.

The best student from the commercial schools is James Wani Mathew of Juba Commercial who got 81.1 percent.

While from the academic schools, Hiba Abdel Aziz of Mahad Juba TTU scored 80.9 percent.

James Baya George of Juba Technical got 72 percent taking the first position among technical schools.
