The South Sudan parliament has resolved to investigate the mega road construction company Eyat to try to figure out its real intensions.

Eyat Construction Company was contracted by the government of Northern Bahr El Ghazal and the government of national unity to rehabilitate roads in that state.

Meanwhile, the company is also in charge of Juba-Nimule road works and some major streets in Juba.

Dr. David Nairo told members of Southern Sudan Legislative Assembly yesterday that people do not know well Eyat and its intentions.

The assembly recommended that the company to be investigated.

The remarks come after speculations that Eyat is in fact a security company.

However, GoSS Minister for Finance and Economic Planning, David Deng Athorbei, on Monday told the legislators that Eyat staff chose to reside next to the SPLA camp in Nimule for fear of attacks.
