A Comboni Missionary Sister working in Upper Nile State has urged South Sudanese to prepare well for the independence of their nation.
Sr. Sarah Saleh, who is from Egypt, told the faithful during a prayer service for a peaceful independence in Malakal that it iwa very important for every South Sudanese to be ready for the coming nation, Voice of Love FM reported.Sr. Sarah urged people to clean their homes and remember the martyrs they lost during the struggle for independence to welcome the new country.
She advised every citizen to learn the South Sudan national hymn.
Sr. Sarah said people should love their country and honour martyrs who paid with their blood for the independence.
She added that people should kiss the land at the midnight of July 9 and beat their chests saying “my motherland”.
