Students from various schools in Tonj South County celebrated their day on Saturday.
The celebration day was fixed by the Council of Students from Don Bosco Secondary School with the help of their teachers last year, Don Bosco FM reportedThe celebration began with a mass followed by the traditional dances, dramas and poems from the students and pupils.
Madaraka Simon is a teacher at Don Bosco Primary School. He said that the organization invited all the students from different schools for the festival.
He added that the celebration was also meant to encourage kids out of school to enrol next year.
Don Bosco secondary school student Chirillo Chol said the feast encouraged students to continue with their studies and respect their teachers.
He expressed his appreciation to for the idea of students’ day celebration every year.
