Chuol Jany|CRN -The Minister of General Education and Instruction, Hon. Kuyok Abol Kuyok, has apologized to students and parents across South Sudan for the prolonged delay in the release of the 2024 Certificate of Secondary Education (CSE) examination results.
Speaking during the 21st Ordinary Meeting of the National Examination Council held under the theme “Toward Enhanced Education Efficiency Through Technological Innovation,” the Minister acknowledged the frustration caused by the delay, which lasted nearly a year.
“The delay is regrettable, and I sincerely apologize to all the candidates, parents, and schools affected,” said Hon. Kuyok. He attributed the delay to payment issues involving examination markers, noting that the government was unable to provide funds on time.
Despite the challenges, the Minister assured the public that such delays will not happen again. He confirmed that the 2024 CSE results will be officially released today, August 20, 2025.
“Today, I am pleased to report that we have finally succeeded. Congratulations to His Excellency the President for his steadfast support to the education sector, and of course, to all of us for a job well done,” Kuyok announced.
The release of the long-awaited results brings relief to thousands of students who sat for their senior four exams last year and have been waiting anxiously for their academic fate.
