Over 1,000 people have sought refuge in Heiban from the horrors of war raging in Southern Kordofan.
Heavy fighting between the northern army and SPLA together with atrocities against civilians displaced thousands of people left without food, shelter and water, Voice of Peace FM reported.Heiban admininstrator Tariq Abdalla said the authorities are appreciating the NGOs who assist IDPs with the food items.
He added that South Kordofan is under Section Seven called by Omar Al-Bashir to destroy civilians.
Mr. Abdalla wondered why the army should use heavy military weapons like tanks, Antonov, and MIG jet fighters within the country against its own people.
The Heiban administrator encouraged the population to dig holes to hide when they planes.
He explained that a bomb blast can harm at the level of one metre.
