Three people were killed when a minibus overturned on the Juba-Yei road between Loka Round and Kenyi Payam in Lainya County yesterday evening.
Lainya County press secretary Bullen Lugala told Radio Easter over the phone that the vehicle was carrying 14 passengers.He added that one died on spot and two in Yei Civil Hospital while the other 11 sustained serious injuries.
Mr. Lugala said police officer Isaac Loki told him that the driver was drunk and driving at high speed.
He lost control of the vehicle.
The officer added that the driver run away after the accident.
The vehicle was transporting passengers from Juba to Yei.
