The President of the Republic of South Sudan H.E. Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit left Juba for the United Arab Emirates on an official diplomatic visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and promoting investment opportunities in South Sudan.
The President is expected to hold a series of top-level meetings with Emirati business leaders and government authorities, underscoring South Sudan’s renewed focus on regional peace and economic growth.
Press Secretary Ambassador David Amuor Majur stated that while in the UAE, President Kiir will meet with several investment groups, during which he will present a compelling case for investment in South Sudan’s key growth sectors.
The President’s visit follows a series of reforms in the country aimed at improving the business environment and attracting foreign direct investment.
President Kiir will also meet with leaders in the UAE to discuss matters of mutual interest, including regional peace, the state of trade relations, and avenues of cooperation for infrastructure development.
This visit is part of a broader diplomatic effort by the government to deepen international cooperation, consolidate global partnerships, and support post-conflict reconstruction through sustainable economic growth.
