The annual Obstetric Fistula Surgical Camp organized by Mary Immaculate Hospital in Mapuordit, Lakes State, kicks off today and it will conclude on July 1.
The Hospital Director, Brother Rosario Iannetti, said in an email to Good News Radio that this year’s camp targets 30 women from different states of South Sudan.He added that 23 women had already booked a place at the camp.
Dr. Rosario said there is place for another seven women.
He invited women suffering from obstetric fistula to seize the opportunity and travel to the rural referral hospital by next Tuesday.
The operation is free of charge but patients have to cater for their own food.
