Pope Francis rested well overnight, according to a Tuesday morning update from the Holy See Press Office. The statement confirmed that the Pope had a peaceful night, offering some reassurance to the public regarding his health.

On Monday evening, the Press Office reported that while the Pope’s clinical condition remained critical, there had been some slight improvement during the day. The statement highlighted that the Pope did not experience asthma-like respiratory distress throughout the day, and some laboratory tests showed positive signs of progress.

Additionally, his mild kidney insufficiency remained under careful monitoring, but there were no major concerns. Oxygen therapy, which had been administered, continued, though at a slightly reduced flow and oxygen level.

Despite his health challenges, Pope Francis received the Eucharist in the morning and managed to work in the afternoon.

A notable moment during the day was a phone call to the Catholic parish in Gaza, where the Pope expressed his gratitude for a video message they had sent him.

The gesture underscored the Pope’s enduring connection with the global Catholic community, even in the face of ongoing health issues.
