Nine people were killed and 300 cows were taken last week during a cattle raid in Tonj South County.
Tonj South County Commissioner Akec Tong said nine people were confirmed dead and one is missing.He added that the raid was carried out by Dinka Gok from Cuiebet County.
Mr. Tong appealed for calm.
He said the incident will be reported to the state authorities to investigate.
Mr. Tong complained that such incidents happened several times in the past but nothing was done to stop them.
