Khartoum is committing another ethnic cleansing in Nuba Mountains in the eyes of international community.

Sudan Council of Churches Adviser John Ashworth told SCR News this afternoon in Juba that what is happening in Southern Kordofan is been described as ethnic cleansing.

He said the ongoing fighting reminds the people in the ground of the 1990s genocide committed by Khartoum in the Nuba Mountains.

Mr. Ashworth added that the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) and its allies were attacking and arresting people off the streets.

He said houses and churches were burnt down and some church workers disappeared.

Mr. Ashworth added that thousands of people were fleeing from Kadugli and Diling to El Obied and other places.

He said SAF is using its air force to continue attacks in towns like Kaduguli, Diling and surround villages.

Mr. Ashworth added that the international community is focusing on Libya while ignoring the same thing Khartoum is doing, bombing and attacking its people.
