Yei County Women Association started preparations for the celebration of Independence Day which is due to take place in 34 days.
Chairlady Sarah Natalino said during a preparatory meeting yesterday that women got together to discuss how the day could be best celebrated, Easter Radio reported.She added that the women participated actively during the referendum and they should also participate actively during the celebration.
Ms. Natalino appeal to the women to reconcile with one another since the new country needs unity.
Yei commissioner of agriculture department Edmond Gogo urged the people to pray for the success of Independence Day.
He added that citizens should love one another.
The meeting was attended by 33 people from four payams of Yei.
