JUBA ARCHDIOCESE TO STRENGTHEN PASTORAL ACTIVITIES IN UNDURUBA

The Catholic Archdiocese of Juba is to strengthen its pastoral activities in Unduruba pastoral area after two decades of isolation.

Assistant Bishop Santo Loku Pio of Juba paid a four-day visit to the area. He told Bakhita Radio that the archdiocese would intensify its pastoral activities in Unduruba for the first time since 1989.

He said the Unduruba pastoral zone belonged to the Archdiocese of Juba but the Diocese of Yei took care of it during the civil war.

Bishop Loku revealed that Unduruba Catholics were for a long period without communications with the administration of the Archdiocese.

The prelate said it was high time to reinitiate a strong relationship with the people and faithful of Unduruba pastoral zone.

The pastoral visit to Unduruba started on Friday and ended on Monday.
