An evening attack carried out yesterday in Tonj South County, Warrap state, left four people dead and one wounded while more than 700 heads of cattle were stolen.

Police Inspector Joseph Mayei told Don Bosco FM that the raiders attacked by surprise a cattle camp at Cueicok Boma, Wuanh-alel payam.

He added that one of the escapees reported the incident this morning and said the attackers headed to Cueibet County.

Mr. Mayei said he was going to Cueibet County with some of his officers to meet with the chiefs and other local authorities to find out who carried out the assault.

Mr. Mayei added that the attackers might not reach Cueibet County today due to the long distance they had to cover with the stolen cattle.
