Authorities in Eastern Equatoria have entrusted a company known as Great City for logistics and supply for printing of Motorcycle logbooks and riding licenses.

Mr. Leonard Peter John Ubyio, the Acting Director for Traffic Police in Eastern Equatoria State revealed that the move will help drivers get their driving license locally without going to Juba.

He stated that motorcycle, vehicle log books, and riding licenses are now being produced in Eastern Equatoria State for the first time.

Bosco Juma Daniel Paul, the Director General of Great City for Logistics and Supply urges the directorate of Traffic Police to make counties aware that riding and driving licenses are available here in Torit.

He added that the company of Great City for Supply and Logistics is working with the government to process the driving permits and log book here in the state.

Meanwhile, the Eastern Equatoria State Deputy Governor Mary Alphonse Lodira tells motorcycle and vehicle owners to process driving permits to ease the investigation of incidents of road accidents that might arise.

He says the presence of the log books and riding license will help in tracking cases of road accident.

The Eastern Equatoria State Deputy Governor however called on the Director General of Police to bring the process of national ID into the state because it’s affecting school children preparing to sit for secondary examination.

The officials were speaking during the opening ceremony of motorcycle, vehicle log book, and riding license in Eastern Equatoria State on Tuesday.
