The Director for Disease and Preventive Measures at the Ministry of Health in Western Bahr el Ghazal says the Ministry has activated a taskforce to prevent Yellow Fever.
Dr. Christopher Paul Madut explained that the fear came after diseases had been declared epidemic in Yambio Western Equatoria State.
He says the team will help to control the spread of diseases in Western Bahr el Ghazal State due to it being a direct border to Western Equatoria.
He reveals that no case of yellow fever has been recorded in Western Bahr el Ghazal State. Paul Madut urges people to report any sign of yellow fever to the Ministry of health and the task force committee.
Madut, asks people not to fear about yellow fever but to remain calm and avoid crowded places in case someone is sick.
