The National Minister of Health, Yolanda Awel Deng has revealed that the government Hospitals in South Sudan are suffering lack of workers.
She says lack of medical personnel, garbage collection, and other difficulties affect the states and national hospitals.
He added that her ministry is working closely with partners to resolve the problem.
The Minister further says South Sudan General Medical Council, which is responsible for all health institutions will go to all states to review the regulations.
Awel urges the health institutions to follow and implement the laws of the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization.
Health Minister Director Generals and Medical Directors in hospitals work effectively despite the challenges. She appealed to health workers to exert their efforts despite the circumstances they are going through.
The South Sudan General Medical Council (SSGMC) is an autonomous body responsible for the registration and regulation of medical, dental, and pharmaceutical professions as well as the regulation of health institutions and services in the country.
